Air oil separators play a vital role in air compressors, separating oil from compressed air before it is used in various applications. Air compressors generally use oil for lubrication and cooling. Still, the oil must be separated from the compressed air to ensure that subsequent processes use clean, oil-free air. Air Oil Separators accomplish this by separating grease from the compressed air stream.

FUTAI Air oil separators contain two or three layers.

The first separation layer is usually a fine particle layer of borosilicate glass fibers with defined layer thicknesses and pore sizes. These fiber papers are virtually free of adhesives and ensure resistance to different types of lubricants at relatively high operating temperatures.

The second separation layer is made of polyester fleece.

Under conditions of difficult pre-separation, the third pre-separation layer protects the other two layers against overloading. It thus extends the service life of the gas-oil separator.
